Falco cherrug

The consist of agricultural land with hilly relief in the foothills of the Malé Karpaty in the northern part of the Trnava upland with intensive level of agricultural production. Rarely, there are transitional forest and aquatic habitats in the form of small field woods, windbreaks and coastal habitats.

The site is an important breeding and feeding site for Falco cherrug and other bird species linked to the open agricultural landscape.

Bird species in the area are particularly threatened by intensive agricultural production associated with intensive fertilizer and pesticide use. Significant negative factor is the illegal hunting and birds of prey poisoning.
