The site copies the shape of the Ondriašov potok Stream. It is a part of the geomorphological unit Záhorská nížina Lowland, subunit Borská nížina Lowland, part Bor and Podmalokarpatská zníženina Depression. According to the Slovak phythogeographical categorization, the site belongs to the area of the Pannonian flora (area Pannonicum, part Eupannonicum, region Záhorská nížina Lowland). The following habitats of national importance are also present: pine-oak acidophilous forests and alder swamp forests. Despite the fragmentary character, the habitats support the occurrence of rare and endangered flora and fauna species in the site.

The sites represents a significant habitat of lowland to montane water streams with the Ranunculion fluitantis and Callitricho-Batrachiona communities and floodplain hardwood forests developed in fragments in their surroundings within the Záhorie region. The site represents the habitat of many rare and endangered species.

The site with a medium level of vulnerability. Water regime is threatened especially by draining (existing network of the drainage canals) as well as a potential change of the water regime (i.e. further draining). Forest communities are threatened by clearcutting and the overall soil preparation after cutting (the whole soil profile including the roots remnants is piled up into mounds using heavy mechanisms).
